A stunning tribute to the resilience of Indigenous Peoples and their way of life, SUGARCANE – from National Geographic Documentary Films is the debut feature documentary by Co-Directors Julian Brave NoiseCat (Tsq’escen/Lil’wat) and Emily Kassie, following a groundbreaking investigation at an Indian Residential School in BC and is a beautiful multi-stranded portrait of a community.
