CAMERON ALEXANDER
Cameron Alexander, a rising star in Canadian alpine skiing, has quickly made a name for himself on the international stage. Born and raised in North Vancouver, he honed his skills at the Whistler Mountain Ski Club (WMSC), where he benefited from the world-class training facilities and challenging terrain that the resort offers.
After making his World Cup debut in 2019 at the age of 22, Alexander’s career took a significant leap in 2022. He secured his first World Cup victory in a downhill race at Kvitfjell, Norway, marking a historic moment for Canadian skiing. This triumph solidified his position as a top contender in the sport and brought renewed excitement to the Canadian ski team.
Despite facing setbacks and injuries throughout his career, Alexander’s determination and resilience have been instrumental in his success. His impressive speed, technical prowess, and fearless approach to the slopes have captivated fans and earned him respect from his peers. As he continues to push the boundaries of his abilities, Alexander is poised to become a dominant force in alpine skiing for years to come.
SASHA GILBERT
Sascha Gilbert, a 20-year-old alpine ski racer from Whistler, B.C., is a proud member of the Canadian National Ski Team. Born in Vancouver, Sascha discovered his passion for skiing during weekend trips to Whistler with his family, eventually moving there at age 13. After excelling in ski school, he joined the Whistler Mountain Ski Club, where he honed his skills and developed a love for racing.
Sascha progressed through the ranks, spending two years on the B.C. Ski Team before earning a spot on the Canadian National Team in 2023. This season, he will compete on the Nor-Am Cup circuit and represent Canada at the World Junior Ski Championships in Italy. With aspirations of medaling in these events, Sascha also dreams of competing on the World Cup circuit and representing Canada at the Olympics.
