Fairmont Chateau Whistler Launches New Radiante Taqueria Terrace Pop-Up
WHISTLER, BC, June 27, 2024 – Fairmont Chateau Whistler is delighted to announce today’s grand opening of Radiante Taqueria Terrace, a vibrant outdoor pop-up dining experience located on the resort’s secret garden patio. Through to the end of September, guests are invited to immerse themselves in an exciting new culinary journey that celebrates the rich and diverse flavours of Mexico.
Derived from the Spanish word for “radiant”, Radiante embodies the essence of this vibrant and inviting new atmosphere at Whistler’s premier luxury resort. Nestled against a picturesque mountain backdrop, the terrace will buzz with excitement as tacos are grilled-to-order and infused with authentic flavours. Patio side, expert mixologists offer handcrafted tequila-based signature cocktails, serving up summer in a glass. Crisp cerveza will be served against the backdrop of a setting sun.
Hailing from the Mayan Riviera, Chef Alejandro Verdi draws inspiration from the culinary legacy of his grandparents Jorge and Carmen, with whom he apprenticed as a child at their Barbacoa restaurant. Chef Alejandro masterfully combines traditional Mexican flavours with his expertise in Italian and French culinary techniques, offering an al fresco dining experience deeply rooted in family tradition and culinary excellence.
“Radiante pays homage to my Mexican culinary heritage,” Chef Alejandro explains. “It is centred on homestyle cooking, cherished family traditions, and meaningful connections.”
Radiante Highlights:
- Open Thursday to Sunday, 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM in the garden by The Wildflower restaurant
- Beverage list is crafted in partnership with Don Julio premium tequila, and Corona beer
- Offering Whistler’s one and only Te-Ski-La (the resort’s exciting version of the shot ski, perfect for a fun group experience)
